The Focus of Our Efforts
DREAMING GIRLS MUSIC CONFERENCE
The Dreaming Girls Music Conference focuses on engaging female musicians with social issues through mentorship and interactive sessions developing personal, social and musical skills. This conference culminates in a capstone project which will be presented at a gala dinner. Three days of intense self-reflection, societal analysis, musical understanding igniting opportunities for youth led social change. We will have music therapists, inspiring industry professional and strong female leaders come in to lead sessions. Moreover, music educators will give group lessons and 1 on 1 sessions to the participants.

VIRTUAL ROUNDTABLE
Roundtable discussions for women, by women to:
Build and Strengthen Global Communities of Women in the Arts
Strengthen the Dreaming Girls Network
Create safe-spaces for women to voices, understand and dissect the social, political and economic circumstances in their lives
Discuss actionable ways to empower girls and women to directly impact their communities

VIRTUAL BOOTCAMPS
Building on the success of the Dreaming Girls Music Conference 2019, a virtual bootcamp in the month of September 2020 will use accessible methods to expand on topics presented by conference alumni. The Bootcamp will be focused on cultivating leadership, dissecting an African identity within artistic practices, and creating actionable steps towards community development through a musical lens.

Workshops, masterclass and mentorship sessions will be designed with young women assuming leadership roles while being mentored by industry professionals.
